International Association of Science Parks

IASP is the global network of Science and Technology Parks (STPs), and connects professionals from existing and developing parks, innovation-based business incubators, R&D institutions, universities, and experts in economic development and technology and knowledge transfer from across the globe. IASP is a knowledge-based association that was created in 1984.

IASP's extensive network gathers 352 members in 72 countries, which in turn represent over 250,000 companies operating within the global knowledge economy. Consequently, IASP's main asset is the huge knowledge and expertise accumulated in the past 25 years on all matters related to the design, conceptualisation and management of STPs and innovation-based business incubators. IASP is involved in policy issues concerning STPs, and supports the creation and organisation of national and regional STPs systems and their integration in national/regional/local development policies. IASP is also active in conducting analysis and assisting in the elaboration feasibility studies and business plans for the creation of new parks across the world.
