XXVII IASP World Conference in Daedeok, Korea

IASP held their annual World Conference this year in Daejeon, Korea, 23-26th May 2010.

The Prime Minister of Korea, Mr. Un-Chan Chung, actively participated in the conference and joined IASP International President, Mr. Joan Bellavista and the President of Daedeok Innopolis, Mr. Gye Doo Kang, in the opening ceremony.

A huge number of attendees from 60 countries gathered this year in Daedeok, Korea, to discuss the implications, latest developments and future trends that global green growth and sustainable development represent for our industry. The delegates had the opportunity to listen to the presentations of two Nobel Prize laureates from the USA and Japan, Prof. Robert H. Grubbs and Dr. Esaki Leo, as well as the presentation from Prof. Bjorn Lomborg, from the Copenhagen Business School. The scientific programme was completed with 75 speakers in the twenty sessions of the conference.

During the closing ceremony of the conference Daedeok Innopolis' President Mr. Kang handed the IASP conference flag to Scion DTU and Symbion Science Park as organisers of the XXVIII IASP World Conference, which will be held in Copenhagen (Denmark) from 19th-22nd June, 2011.
