Chief of the Hong Kong Science and Technology Park Sunny Chai Ngai-chiu
has put forward his plan to increase the amount of incubatees in the park from 263 to 500 by 2022/2023. Chai said that an incubatee needs only four qualities to succeed: technology, talent, market and capital.

The IASP member also plans on increasing its size by nearly 20% from 3,550,000 sq. feet to 4,300,000 sq. feet, with the first phase of development to result in 10 new laboratories.

Chai has also said that the other parks within the Greater Bay Area each have their own specialist industries and that cooperation is possible
