The Creative Industries Centre, located in UKSPA member Univ Wolverhapmtpon Park, is celebrating its 20th anniversary!

The University of Wolverhampton Science Park recently commemorated a significant milestone – the 20th Anniversary of the Creative Industries Centre. Over the past two decades, this Centre has evolved into a thriving ecosystem, nurturing innovation and fostering collaboration among creative minds.


Established through a collaborative effort between the University of Wolverhampton and Wolverhampton City Council, the Science Park aimed to provide a central hub for high-tech businesses and startups. Recognizing the emerging potential of the creative industry sector, the Creative Industries Centre was inaugurated in March 2004, offering a conducive environment for job creation, product development, and skills enhancement.


The Creative Industries Centre at University of Wolverhampton Science Park caters to a diverse range of sectors, including advertising, architecture, film, IT services, music, and visual arts. Many companies that have set up base at the Centre have flourished over the years, expanding their operations within the Science Park or relocating within the region.

At the heart of the Science Park’s ethos lies business incubation and support, facilitated through the SPARK business incubation centre. SPARK offers tailored support programs to budding entrepreneurs, providing essential guidance in finance, investment, and marketing, along with affordable office spaces and opportunities for expansion within the Science Park.
